When it comes to an organization committed to serving with intention, Lewis Mason Thurston Area Agency on Aging rises to the top. Within the last two years, Lancaster Leadership has had the opportunity to assist this organization with becoming an outstanding leader in their field. To name a few of their development initiatives, the Collective Management Team participated in strategic planning. The entire staff engaged in values and guiding principles creation, culture assessment, and team building. Seasoned and aspiring leaders have participated in leadership academies along with coaching where they challenged their selves to rise and grow into even more effective leaders. Today and beyond, Lewis Mason Thurston Area Agency on Aging continues to assess where they are and where they want to go. And they are reaching for the stars!
Nicole Kiddoo, Executive Director of Lewis Mason Thurston Area Agency on Aging shares why she dedicates valuable resources, “My philosophy is that an organization should wholeheartedly invest in their number one asset, which is their team – their staff. Being able to provide opportunities for growth, fostering a culture of leadership and giving people the tools, training and support to empower them to bring their best each day is what brought the leadership academy to our agency. If there is one person that can successfully support us in doing so with her expertise, positive energy and her interactive approach – it’s Julie Lancaster!”
