Frequently Asked Questions
If you are only available to attend one day, you have a couple of options. You may pay for and attend just one of the days and this option will be available to you upon check out. Or, you might consider splitting the event with a colleague or friend. The cost for the full Summit is a better deal and then you and your friend can both benefit from the trainings. To inquire about splitting the event, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Each day at the Summit, coffee and tea will be provided in the morning. We recommend having breakfast prior to the day’s sessions. If you are visiting Flagstaff for the Summit and staying at one of the conference hotels, breakfast options are available. Lunch will be provided both days during the Summit. For special dietary requests, please indicate on the registration form. (Vegan, nut-free, dairy-free, gluten-free, no problem!) Dinner is on your own. Check out one of the many locally-owned restaurants, and go out with your new friends and colleagues from the Summit! For recommendations on places to dine, just ask Summit leaders during the event or a local attendee!
At the Summit, we try to incorporate some movement to break up the sessions. This might be in the form of a standing activity or may even include some walking. We recommend that you wear comfortable and casual clothing and shoes. The month of May can be quite cool, and it is recommended that you bring a light sweater or jacket. Flagstaff is a laid-back town, so although this is a professional conference, don’t feel as if you have to dress for your office job. There may be photo opportunities, so you may want to keep this in mind when selecting your clothing. (We think you look fabulous in anything.)
We have two recommended conference hotels with special rates as long as you book by April 20, 2020. Host hotel, Little America, has rooms set aside for participants. Please call 1-800-352-4386 and ask for the Women’s Summit rate, as these special rates are not available online. For the Grand King or Queen Room, the cost is $139 plus 11.181% tax.
The Courtyard Marriott is also reserving special rooms for the conference. King or Queen rooms are $129 plus 11.181% tax per room per night. Guests should call for the special rate: 928-774-5800. The property is located at 2650 S Beulah Blvd, Flagstaff, AZ 86001. Breakfast is not included in these rates but there are restaurant/ bistro options at each hotel for your convenience.
Yes, there is free on- site parking at the Little American venue located at 2515 East Butler Avenue. The conference venue is located approximately 15 minutes from the Flagstaff Airport and approximately 10 minutes from downtown Flagstaff.
After registration, you will be invited to a private Facebook group called Lifelong Leaders. Here is where you can connect with other attendees in advance.
The Summit attracts highly-engaged, professional women who are eager to learn and grow as leaders (once again, we don’t define leadership by your job title). Just like you, other attendees are seeking new strategies to cultivate the leader within themselves and results that they can take back to their workplaces, their teams and their homes. These are women that you want to know, and you will have lots of opportunities to network.
Absolutely! This year’s Summit will prove to be bigger and better with all new speakers, panelists, sessions, and lessons learned. In our humble opinion, the more of these summits you attend, the more enlightened, purposeful and engaged you will be in life! This year’s summit will focus on topics such as assertiveness, mindfulness, authenticity, and more, as the line-up of speakers will have something that each participant can relate to.
The cancellation policy allows you to cancel up to 30 days before the event. But better yet, all tickets are transferable to another attendee, just email email@example.com to get the process underway.
We highly recommend that teams come together (although lots of folks don’t come with anyone they know). That way you can bring the lessons and new strategies back to the workplace with an approach that everyone understands. Discounts for your team are available.
Bringing other friends or colleagues is a great way to coordinate new accountability partners and stick to your goal-setting and action items.
Get excited! And you may want to review the sessions to determine what you are most interested in, as some will be going on concurrently. You will also find some book recommendations, and we recommend that if you have the time to read one (or more) in advance, do! We also suggest that you bring 50 business cards for networking opportunities & something to write on/ with. Most of all come with an open mind, prepared to learn and experience all the Summit has to offer!
The History of the Women’s Leadership Summit
Before being the founder of Lancaster Consulting and the Women’s Summit, Julie walked the talk. Julie first found her calling decades ago as a rock-climbing instructor. She helped thousands to look challenge in the face, to be vulnerable, to enthusiastically strive for tall goals, and to celebrate hard work together. Through finding her calling, she found her true voice. Today, as the president of Lancaster Consulting, she now supports others to delight in their successes and overcome their challenges. Now with decades of leadership in the U.S. and beyond, her experience guides her practice. She is honored to train and coach outstanding clients. As May 2020 brings us the 10th Women’s Leadership Summit, Julie, the Lancaster Consulting team, the presenters, the panelists, and the sponsors are honored to bring forth this incredible adventure.
