Veronica Hipolito
Veronica Hipolito is the Vice President of Student Affairs at Chandler/Gilbert Community College. Prior to that, she was the Dean of Student Development and Community Engagement at Coconino Community College and served as the college’s Chief Student Affairs Officer. Veronica served on the leadership team which created the CCC2NAU program, a partnership between Northern Arizona University and Coconino Community College. CCC2NAU has served 2,277 students since the inception of the program. CCC2NAU was recognized with a 2012 Lee Noel and Randi Levitz Retention Excellence Award and the 2012 Outstanding Institutional Advancement Advising Program Award from National Academic Advising Association. She led a cross-divisional team to secure a 1.2 million dollar TRiO Student Support Services retention grant, the first for CCC. Since the start of the TRiO Student Support Services program, participants have consistently demonstrated higher retention rates and stronger academic performance than their peers.
Veronica has been an active member of the community including participation in the Flagstaff Leadership Program, service as a member of the United Way of Northern Arizona Board of Directors for the Willow Bend Environmental Education Center, and was nominated for an Athena Award in 2015. Prior to CCC, Veronica worked at Northern Arizona University for nine years in the Enrollment Management and Student Affairs Division. Veronica has a Masters of Arts in Counseling from Northern Arizona University and is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education in Higher Education and Organizational Change with Benedictine University.
