Author’s Biography:
Sharon is an organizational development consultant who specializes in employee training and facilitation. She helps people communicate at work so that they can enjoy their work more and help others. With ten years of experience in public service, Sharon really loves to help local government employees and other service-minded workers to create, find, and embrace meaningful work. Sharon has experience with taking big risks to follow a dream. In 2011, she and her partner quit their jobs, sold off most of their possessions and set off on a year-long road trip throughout North America. It was a transformative experience that helped her more fully commit to relationships and community. Sharon also has a Master’s Degree in Organizational Development and Knowledge Management from George Mason University. She loves to geek out about organizational structure and systems and how we can create workplaces that encourage benevolence. When she is not engaged in serious discussions about changing the world, Sharon can be found acting at the community theater, mountain biking, learning to cook, or taking photos of birds.
