Bret Carpenter
Bret Carpenter currently works for the Coconino Small Business Development Center as the Center Director in Flagstaff, AZ. He has extensive experience in marketing, business operations, business plan development, financial analysis and applying technology within businesses environments. He supports businesses from the earliest stages of start-up through growth and expansion. His goal is to assist businesses, institutions and entrepreneurs to be more successful in their endeavors. He does this through gaining understanding of their working structures, finances, marketing practices and applying best practices within those structures.
Bret grew up in the construction industry and was formerly the Vice President of a commercial design/build construction company in the Los Angeles Area. Bret has owned two IT Consulting businesses, has taught in higher education and has non-profit management experience.
Bret has a BS in Construction Engineering Technology and a Masters in Business Administration from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He lives in Flagstaff, and is married with two daughters. Bret likes to bicycle, hike and tinker with electronics.
